A location-based service discovery platform for Bostancı Automotive Industrial Zone in Istanbul, helping vehicle owners instantly find authorized Castrol partner workshops and local service centers. The system combines interactive mapping, real-time search, and filtering capabilities to connect 180+ service providers with customers seeking automotive maintenance and repair.
Built for HiFive Brand Experience to support Castrol Turkey’s B2B partner network expansion while improving end-customer service accessibility.
Bostanci Automotive Industrial Zone houses over 180 automotive service centers scattered across a 50+ block area with zero digital discoverability. Potential customers were driving past available services without knowing they existed, while Castrol-authorized partners received no preferential visibility despite their brand partnership. The challenge was creating a mobile-friendly discovery system that would help customers search, compare, and navigate to service locations while maintaining full KVKK compliance for Turkish data protection regulations.
The solution required a unique approach given the constraints. Rather than building a traditional database-backed system, I implemented a CSV-powered architecture that allows HiFive to update the entire service directory via spreadsheet—enabling rapid partner onboarding without backend complexity. A dual-category system with visual hierarchy distinguishes Castrol-authorized partners from general service providers through branded iconography, giving premium visibility to brand partners.
Performance was critical for mobile users searching on-site. I built an aggressive localStorage caching system that eliminates redundant geocoding API calls, ensuring sub-second map load times even with 180 markers rendered simultaneously. The glassmorphism UI adapts seamlessly from smartphone to desktop, while dedicated legal pages for KVKK, privacy policy, and cookie consent ensure full regulatory compliance.
The platform transformed service discovery in the industrial zone. Users can now visually locate all 180+ service centers on an interactive map with one-click navigation via Google Maps integration. The system loads in under 3 seconds thanks to aggressive caching and lazy-loaded assets, with a fully responsive mobile experience and touch-optimized controls.
From a business perspective, the zero-maintenance content management means the entire service directory can be updated via a single CSV file upload. Castrol partners receive 2.5x visual prominence compared to standard markers, directly supporting the brand partnership value proposition. The site is SEO-optimized for local “Bostancı oto servis” search queries, while full KVKK compliance protects both HiFive and Castrol from regulatory risk.
Technical performance exceeded expectations. The geocode cache system reduced Maps API costs by 94%, while Progressive Web App capabilities provide offline fallback functionality. Google Analytics integration tracks usage patterns, and the system maintains cross-browser compatibility across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. The implementation proves that lightweight, framework-free solutions can deliver enterprise-grade results when designed thoughtfully.
